Four years ago, I was drowning in debt — over a million RMB. It was through creating content that I managed to pay it all off.

I entered the crypto space because I refused to remain the underdog in Web2. When I first stepped into Web3, I had almost no capital.

Everything I've accumulated since then — every bit of savings — came from airdrop farming, driven by sheer hard work and persistence. Back then, I was naive.

I witnessed altcoins in the last bull run surging tens or even hundreds of times in value. So, I had a foolish idea:

"Don't sell the airdrops. Hold them. If I can farm 1 million RMB worth, and it goes 10x — that's 10 million!"

After farming for 2–3 years, my paper profits from airdrops definitely exceeded 1 million RMB. But what happened?

Instead of multiplying 10 times, most plummeted dozens of times in value. My hopes vanished completely.

Stark: from ¥2+ down to ¥0.1

Zk: from ¥0.2+ down to ¥0.04

W: from ¥1+ down to just a few cents

So my biggest mistake in airdrop farming wasn't "missing the opportunity" — it was losing to diamond hands. In plain terms: I was too greedy. To be brutally honest: I was being foolish.

But today, things have shifted.

Back then, any project launching could easily hit a market cap of tens or even hundreds of billions in FDV. Now? Most new projects are worth just a fraction of that at launch.

We must also acknowledge the growing integration of crypto and traditional finance.

Previously, crypto was a self-contained bubble — prices were dictated by insiders. Now, as crypto merges with stock markets, reality sets in: If real-world companies with solid business models are only worth a few bucks per share, why should a few pages of a whitepaper command billions?

So, after all that reflection, here's my core message:

Crypto remains one of the few sunrise industries with low entry barriers and high potential returns — a prime opportunity for ordinary people to transform their lives.

Airdrop farming does generate income — often exceeding top-tier white-collar salaries in major cities.

If you lack starting capital, airdrop farming is nearly your only viable path to wealth.

We farm airdrops today so that one day, we won't have to farm anymore.
