Wednesday stroll through Pistoia's beautiful squares.
Today I'll finish taking you on my Christmassy stroll through Pistoia, visiting two of the city's main squares: Piazza della Sala and Piazza dello Spirito Santo, both very beautiful squares located in the center of Pistoia. To get to Piazza della Sala, you pass through magnificent old streets, even more beautiful when illuminated by lights. Piazza della Sala, on the other hand, was decorated with a kind of illuminated ball that stretched with strings of lights across the entire square. A beautiful decoration that starts above the lion-bearing well, a well that is part of the city's historical heritage. Piazza della Sala is one of the city's oldest squares, bustling with activity and shops, mostly restaurants and food stalls. Every week, a market is held here, selling vegetables and local produces such as honey, cheese, and other products from local businesses. It's a very beautiful and traditional market. The square itself is, in my opinion, one of the most beautiful in the city, connected to the center by many narrow streets filled with charming and trendy restaurants.
