Today was a special day for me because I helped my mom in the kitchen! 😊 As a kid, I don’t always get to cook, but today I was excited to learn how to prepare vegetable stew.

It all started when my mom called me to come and assist her. At first, I thought it would be difficult, but it turned out to be fun!

My first job was to help wash the vegetables. We used fresh ugu leaves and other ingredients. I made sure to wash them properly so they would be clean and safe to eat. After that, my mom showed me how to cut the vegetables carefully. She warned me to be very careful with the knife, and I listened.

Next, I helped to stir the stew while it was cooking. The aroma in the kitchen was amazing! I could smell the spices, pepper, and oil mixing together—it made me even more hungry 😄

While cooking, my mom also taught me why vegetables are important. She said they help us grow strong and stay healthy. I felt proud because I was not just helping, but also learning something new.

Finally, the vegetable stew was ready, and it looked so delicious! I was so happy knowing that I helped prepare it. When we ate, it tasted even better because I was part of the cooking process.

Today taught me that helping in the kitchen is not just work—it can be fun and a great way to bond with your parents. I can’t wait to help my mom again!
