I used to use Photoshop for drawing back then, but it's just not for me. I was frustrated with Krita at one point, but eventually it grows on me. Definitely go try Krita. If it's not up to your taste, you can try Gimp, Medibang, Paint Tool Sai and more. But Krita was full of advanced features as well.
