Looking back, it's amazing how every journey begins with a single opportunity.
In 2023, I began my professional journey as a Data Manager at Dziseldra, working remotely from home with a monthly salary of Nu. 10,000. Since I joined halfway through my first month, my initial paycheck was Nu. 6,000.
To many, it may have seemed like a small beginning. To me, it was the opportunity that changed everything.
Working from home taught me much more than managing data. It strengthened my self-discipline, communication, problem-solving, and ability to work independently. It also showed me that meaningful work isn't defined by where you work, but by the value you create.
As I continued learning, taking on new responsibilities, and embracing new challenges, my skills grew—and so did my career. Naturally, my salary increased along the way, but what I value most is the experience, confidence, and professional growth that came from that first opportunity.
Today, I work in digital transformation initiatives, livestock information systems, data analysis, and emerging technologies such as AI and drone applications. Looking back, I can clearly see how that remote role became the foundation for where I am today.
With technology advancing rapidly, I believe remote work will continue to shape the future of employment. Organizations are increasingly focusing on skills, collaboration, and results rather than physical location.
