I may be ready for an electric car but I am not and probably will never be ready for a self driving car. The electric car has some advantages if you stay near the big city. I still prefer gasoline or diesel if Im going to travel cross country.

Yes all of the above. I sometimes miss the old days when we didnt have all of those things. I dont know how I could live without climate control now.
If that's the case then it's but a short step to having the car do one or two leeeeetl more things for you.
no offense..but if you have an automagic transmixer you're NOT really driving..if you have cruise control even less so...GPS?...Less even yet. If you have distracting features such as radio/stereo..or a smartphone...then you'd be much safer going the whole nine yards. Leave the driving to the car.
