Having a Fair uh Day 📡 Unboxing

in #diy10 hours ago

I have been waiting two months for this day to arrive. I purchased a piece of cloth that is made out of copper mesh mixed with nickel mesh is what it says on the Amazon ad. Let's take a look.

I will take more unboxing photos in a bit. For the last few years, as my condition developed, I was trying to find out was was causing the buzzing under my skin as well as the other things I have been posting about. The vibrations under my skin usually happens when a lot of frequencies are running though nobody in the house is using them.

When I felt them starting, mostly when I am going to sleep, I would take a piece of gold, which is a dense metal, and tape it over the spot. This was only one of the things I tried and it was effective maybe 60% of the time. That gave me hope.

This is one of the gold pieces I was using. It is like thick tin foil but it is made of pure gold. I do not have much of this but when I used it on small areas that were buzzing, it worked a lot of the time.

Now I have something larger, that will help me test if this difficulty is caused by WiFi, bluetooth, cellular SIMs or any other type of frequencies. If it works, that is.

Lead blankets work in hospitals in order to keep xrays from doing damage to areas NOT being photographed. That is the logic I am applying, but I do not have an xray machine in my house, so I am going for metals that absorb or deflect certain electronic signals.

Back to Opening the Product

So I opened the bag it was shipped in - is this an unbagging then? So here is what was in side the shipping bag. It travelled over five thousand miles to this country where I am. Importing things was nearly impossible just four years ago. Now things from Amazon come right to you door.

There is the cloth which would cover a person head to toe while they lay on their back. I will write about that in another post if this proves to really block signals, which ones, etc.. Then we have tape in case one would want to line the inside of a safe or something like that. And lastly, there is a card with precautions, care and instructions.

I am writing this because I have not seen much content centered on details related to this kind of product. Let's zoom in on some of those details. I borrowed a friend's phone that has a macro function.

The instructions say that this clothe is polyester, nickel and copper. But how is it arranged to make the cloth?

Here are some really close pictures.

What you are looking at is the surface of the cloth with a standard USB plug in on top of it for size context.

Same shot but closer.

This is the card that you saw in the cover photo. You can read the claims they make. I honestly do not remember the name or brand of the product. I had tried to make metal boxes to block signals to protect my devices and they all failed. I am really hoping this 'store bought' product works.

I did one test while writing this post and if I have time, I will put the results at the end.

I hate them too

They say ironing is okay, but the temperature has to be low. Then there is the part of not washing it.

Testing if Bluetooth is Blocked

The only test that I have run so far is a Bluetooth test.

I put on some music, ran it to my Bluetooth headset and left it playing.

image.png

I put my phone in after opening the cloth like a book.

image.png

When I closed 'the book' it was still playing and I let it go on playing. Then I felt I had been robbed. The range was less than it would normally be, about half of the range, but I need all signals to be blocked.

In this next photo you will see what made it work.

The left side is the side that is folded and the phone is inside. Just adding a little bit of weight on the edges that are not folded was enough to cause the headset to say, "disconnected." I guess the cloth has to be touching all around device that is to be protected - no gaps! I probably could have used the tape that came in the package to seal off the edges (instead of weight), but that solution would be way too permanent for one simple Bluetooth test.

I put on a Youtube video and ran the same test. This would tell me if WiFi is getting through. It did not stop playing right away but it did stop. I think YT downloads farther ahead of where you are in your video to make up for momentary losses of internet.

If you want me to look up the brand or how much it cost me, I can answer in the comments but you will never see an ad or referral link on any of my posts or comments.

I am hopeful that I can make something out of this cloth to lessen the affects of whatever has been affecting my biology. I hope some others might find my blog and let me know if they have any similar experiences. I chose to write here on Steemit because this platform claims to be censorship-free. I don't agree that people should have to say, "for entertainment purposes only." as a form lying to get mercy from their (fill in the blank) overlords.

Everything I write is my own work unless otherwise noted and referenced
