My Portfolio #12 Georgian Table
I was asked by a client to make this Georgian occasional table.
They showed me a photograph they had seen in an antiques guide. It was a very small picture and I had to fill in all the gaps.
It is made from a mahogany called sapele which was responsibly sourced.
The legs and feet of the pedestal base were shaped by hand and carved.
I stained and french polished the table to give it an authentic look.
This table has a 30" diameter top. I was particularly pleased with the grain and sheen on the top , which took many hours to achieve.
