What Ernest would have done!

Come on, we all love Ernest Hemingway, that literary rascal who is possibly as well know for his quotes, travels and womanising than his literary works but this is one productivity hack of his that appears to have gone unnoticed!

Except by the excellent BBC Worklife series writer Zarai Gorvett.

In a nutshell, Hemingway answered a young writers question about how much should he aim to write in a day and was answered...

“The best way is always to stop when you are going good and when you know what will happen next. If you do that every day when you are writing a novel, you will never be stuck.”

This article explains how you can apply this wisdom to a wider range of productivity issues, not just within a writing field and explains the psychology behind the theory that makes it so practically successful.

A very well written and readable article from the BBC's Worklife series, strongly recommended to read their back catalogue!
