When Byron Román sent a message to “bored teens” on social media to pick up litter he didn’t expect that his post would make a difference.

For seven days and thousands of shares on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and other social media sites, the world is looking a little bit cleaner.

“Take a photo of an area that needs some cleaning or maintenance, then take a photo after you have done something about it, and post it,”

The results were astonishing, many responded with this challenge. I hope the rest of the world will do the same even behind the camera.
