El portero alemán ter Stegen es el portero titular del FC Barcelona. En la selección alemana es sólo el número 2 detrás de Manuel Neuer. 

En 2018 fue el Equipo del Año de la UEFA. Es el número 1 de Barcelona y tiene una cláusula de salida en su contrato de 180 millones de euros.
