I do have to say that even if Steemit definitely has some of the advantages listed in the article, I have to say some of the negative comments do have merit. It's a little dispiriting for a new guy like myself to see people upvote themselves and earn hundreds while the rest of us participate because we enjoy writing and sharing our thoughts.

    The original whitepaper of Steem admitted that the system is designed to fool users into exerting more effort than they are equitably rewarded. I have written a point-by-point rebuttal of @‍jerrybanfield’s incorrect propaganda campaign.
