I wanted to make you discover a Jazz Standard every day on DLive this week, today this is "The Autumn Leaves" , with music by Hungarian-French composer Joseph Kosma and lyrics by poet Jacques Prévert. 1945/1946

It's a song that is very common to play among jazz musicians, and the chord progression is lovely to improvise on.
I decided to sing it in french too, as it's originally a french variety song recorded by Yves Montand in 1946.

Thanks again to @dlive for the support, It's the end of this exclusive Jazz Week on DLive, let me know in the comments what style you want to hear next for a whole week!

The Autumn Leaves

The falling leaves drift by my window
The falling leaves of red and gold
I see your lips the summer kisses
The sunburned hands I used to hold
Since you went away the days grow long
And soon I'll hear old winter's song
But I miss you most of all my darling
When autumn leaves start to fall
Since you went away the days grow long
And soon I'll hear old winter's song
But I miss you most of all my darling
When autumn leaves start to fall
I miss you most of all my darling
When autumn leaves start to fall

This week I have been trying a little experiment, I have been uploading content daily on @Dtube and @Dlive, I will make a review of each platforms to figure out if it's interesting for an artist/musician to post every day , and to dedicate time to it.

My video is at DLive

Swingin in the Sunshine

Thanks so much, I think it was the last day of posting daily on Dlive after a whole week straight, so I was a bit tired , and frustrated because I couldn't record one correct version. I think at the end of the video , there's a bunch of army helicopters starting hovering but I said "F**ck it " and I kept it :)
