Wow blimey... okay, that makes sense. I'll just keep hoarding SP and hope it grows nice and quickly then - I'd love to be able to play more with curation and making a difference to people who post brilliant content- but there's not masses you can do as such a small fry :)
OK! Just had a look at your score. You need to STOP upvoting for a while!!! You can see what your levels are here:

You need to let your voting power build up to 80-90% (preferably get it up to 100%). Everytime you vote using 100% you lose 2% or so voting power. It takes 2 hours or there abouts to get that back. The rule of thumb is only vote on 100% 8 - 10 times a day (once you are up to 100%) The lower your voting power the lower your vote. People don't mind if you don't upvote them (you are really good with comments and people love comments). We have all been there with the not being able to vote because our voting levels are too low, so no one will get stroppy if you don't upvote.
EDIT: use the link above to check your voting levels (and you can also keep an eye on who upvotes your posts, and what they are worth, etc). It is useful.
Thanks very much for this. I had been using this site loads... so handy!!... but have got a bit carried away voting this weekend! I don't have the slider yet so all votes are currently 100%... looks like I'll need to controll myself 😂
Yeah! Been there! By the way once your vote it back up to 100% there is a way you can get a slider... Busy.org is a flashy version of steem (on the steemit chain): it lets you have a slider even when you don't qualify on steemit. Have a look at it: https://busy.org/@eveningart (if you want to use it you have to give it permission using your key, but you can look at your page without logging in)
You need about 500SP to get your slider on steemit, so a way to go. I found out about Busy when I had 450SP. I was gutted I didn't know before! But that was when votes were worth more anyway (my 100% vote was 14cents at the time!)

Yeah, you don't need to use the slider until you have a bit more to give. I haven't checked on your profile yet... how many words have you done?!!! ;)
