a webm file may be smaller in size, but that doesn't mean it consumes less CPU to decode it to show in your stream, in fact it is the opposite. A less compressed file, would be easier to decode for real-time purposes. So, webm is not ideal.
webm works perfectly well and is ideal for me. thanks. also that is not reflected in the cpu usage of OBS, but if you want to split hairs go ahead.
You are right... I was thinking about decoding with CPU but now that you say that maybe it is decoded using the GPU and smaller file size could be a bit better for CPU. In the end if it works well it is good ;) thanks! I will try webm and compare and will report back!
