I don't want to break your idea but, this is how I see it. Women are not more valuable than men, they used to be. An here is why.
A. 1 women 99 men = 1 child per year, so the tribe wont survive
B. 99 women 1 men = 99 children a year, the tribe will florish
Men used to be easily replaceable. Off course, women can not survive in the tribe with that few men. But I mad it extreme to get the point across. But now days men are more valuable because we don't live in tribes anymore, but the male skills are way more important to survive in this day and age. But in reality, it depends on the person if he or she is more valuable.
