I don't fault bid bots for their promotional prowess.
I am slightly annoyed that it's up to the community to exert their own VP to flag down idiots who used bids for crap.
Ultimately if the bidbots weren’t around that post wouldn’t have gotten anywhere. That is just my .02.
And I totally agree now instead of people being positive with their vote, the have to use it to push this sort of this away from the trending page.
Just one more reason I never go there, except to get a good laugh at all the comments.
People can still buy votes outside of bid bots. It would have been the same beast, just got there a different way.
The whole thing is just ugh.
Like politicians 😉 they will buy their votes one way or another.
