Ideal for a backpack pocket for radio communication

I was looking for a lightweight and compact antenna for field trips so I wouldn't have to lug heavy coils of wire around. I came across an article about the Slinky Dog Antenna and realized that this was the perfect option to throw in my backpack pocket. In practice, it takes literally five minutes to set up, you just need to tie the ends to the nearest trees. Of course, it has slightly higher transmission losses than a full-size antenna, but the tuner pulls it out without any problems. Now I constantly take this setup with me on picnics as a backup or main option.
