Chronicles of Alan :Tolkien and Bree Final

And here it is , the one I did not want to write and looking at this Picture, yes, I did paint the house not long after this.

Tolkien is to the left and Bree, My Girl to the right.

As is quite common with this breed of Dog, Tolkien started to develop a form of Hip Displasia, a joint problem.

I bought Oil Supplement Capsules for both of them , and started pouring a bit of oil over their Food, I also walked them at least everday , and played with them quite a lot .

One Morning as I walked outside I noticed Bree ( who had also started having similar problems ), seemed quite a bit worse.
I had to go quite early to drop off a Tender in Pretoria ( working at Risctec at this time) I went through , had to park quite far away , and was amazed to see some of our politicians ( Blue Light Brigade ) having Soldier's with Machine Guns blocking the main roads so that they could ride through without stopping .

I just shake my Head , how did they escape the institutions that they so obviously qualify to be locked up in?

Anyway , I decided to go straight home to see how Bree was doing, drove in the back , got out the Car,

she lurched over to me , put her head against my Thigh and slid down to the ground with a whimper.

I went inside , phoned the SPCA, asked if I could bring her and be with her when they put her down? , answered in the affirmative.
I got there , carried her in, they told me the Vet had been called out ( this is very difficult for me) I had to leave her there as my Boss had called me to be in a meeting with a customer that I could not put off. They put her in a cage and I walked away without looking back , I still feel terrible about this ,

I loved that Girl ever since I got her as a ball of fur from a McDonalds in Sandton (only place both myself and the Breeder knew in common in that area ).

I carried on Walking Tolkien everyday, giving him the supplements ,for maybe another 3 months?
One day , he just did not want to get up , phoned the Same place again, made sure the Guy was there .

I sat on the Floor, he had his head on my lap , and I watched the light in his eyes fade, I never want to go through that again if I can help it .

They were just over 8years old!

I am very emotional about this , Chris loved them too, and there was a big hole in our hearts after this..( cant write more)
