Some fun Christmas pictures with rescue dogs
A member of our staff made these cute pictures as a promotional thing for our overseas fund-raising efforts and while it is merely a very simple PhotoShop sort of thing - I presume it is, I don't know much about it - I like that they are real images of real dogs that we have helped and not some sort of Artificial Intelligence creation.

The hat on this doggo is real. I wouldn't say that any of our dogs really enjoy putting hats one, but the motivation for extra treats is pretty strong. This lovely doggy was a rescue but now has a forever home in Thailand.

This is one of our more famous dogs who has bounced from temporary home to temporary home and was completely willing to have a little santa on as a backpack for a few photos. he never forced it off but when it would fall he would sniff it and then do that cute thing that dogs do where it looks like they are trying to rip a stuffie apart.

I love all doggies, even the ones that are missing legs and eyes, and for the most part even ones with emotional damage that makes them difficult to put up for adoption. This cutie is the opposite of that and honestly, is there anything cuter than a dog with a neckerchief on? I love putting them on my own dogs after a bath and they don't really seem to mind either.

This hat is quite obviously computer generated and I think that is ok. I have 3 dogs and they will only let you put a hat on them for a split second and I guess I can understand why. None of my dogs are clothes-wearing dogs and they don't need to be in a cold country. I think a lot of the times when I see people putting clothes on dogs in a country as hot as Thailand that this is borderline animal abuse. There is no reason to do that here as it is never cold and the dog has a winter coat on year round.
If you want to put clothes on a dog for a little while feel free but honestly, and especially if you live somewhere hot like I do, it is quite cruel to do that, so please stop doing it.
If you live somewhere cold then pay attention to the breed that you have. Huskies for example NEVER need clothes and truly enjoy being in a cold environment. Warm areas are actually quite uncomfortable for them and I don't like that about a year ago it was "trendy" to have them in Thailand. They suffer in this heat as there is no way for them to shed enough fur to be comfortable.
Anyway, sorry I turned that into a lecture. This is all about celebrating the holidays with our cute friends even if our computer skills at Krabi Animal Welfare isn't very good at all!
