What Kind of Dog is This?
Good afternoon, Steemians!
I just would like to know if anyone out there can definitively let us know what kind of dog Misha is. We adopted her almost two years ago, but we don't know which breed(s) of dog she is. She's very sweet, but gets very jealous of our other dog, Chico, who is a Chihuahua-Dachshund mix.
To us, she kind of looks like a Westie (West Highland White Terrier) mixed with something else. We can't really put our finger on it.
Could she be part Schnauzer? Bichon-Frise?
Let us know what you think! Thanks for stopping by!
Once I got a dna test for my dog and as it turns out, there can be many different breed traits smooshed together into one dog, not just two. The "one egg one sperm" thing doesn't affect dogs (or cats).
If a female mates five times during her heat, there is the potential for her pups to have some/all/any combination of the traits of those five fathers, plus whatever she was to begin with!
Although to me, all dogs are at least 3/4 Cute, and sometimes a full-breed Cute.
Wow, I had no idea!
I keep seeing more and more folks getting DNA tests for their mixed breeds and rescue dogs. What a fun idea! Would be awesome if the shelters could do it too, bet it would help a lot more pups get adopted <3
I agree! Although one of my dogs (who looks and acts very much like a Viszla) apparently has no Viszla in him. According to the test though, he does have a little Shih Tzu in there. HA! I tease him about that one.
Maybe even Jack Russel?
That's a good thought! Definitely could be :) I had a Jack Russell before, and maybe she does have part JRT because her ears are kind of tan!
Oo. I am no dog expert but our neighbors used to have one hehe.
Sometimes I wished I had a dog :(
maybe westie x chinese crested?
Interesting. Could be!
It is possible indeed, as one of my chinese crested, the powderpuff, got similar skin with same spots under her coat.
Very interesting and very funny pet dog, I like your post @vagansilverstack
