Altered Carbon was a fascinating watch. Watching it, I had to think about the predictive programming aspect to popular media, especially when it displayed "ripe" technologies that are in their nascent stages today. An interim stage between now and then may be found in Tad Williams' series Otherworld, in which the downloaded mind occupies a virtual reality as a god-like power. The series is a magnificent read and to be seen as a precursor to Ready Player One. Nice contribution!
