For the resizing, I recommend that you upload your images to imgur. It is very easy to resize there. I understand it's a pain to do that elsewhere.

I supposed you did, but I told you about making it in imgur because it's a breeze there. Once the image has been uploaded (and ready to be posted using the direct link), you basically make a couple of clicks and enter the dimensions and BAM, done :) :P
