But I guess most people in crypto aren't necessarily interested in the "mingling" aspects of Steem. For people like my friends, they either ask why use this alternative or what even gives random "tokens" value.

Those are not easy questions to answer for people who do not necessarily see the potential of crypto.

This comes back to the Domo analogy. I'm sure those who get it get it. But, for people who are not into it, it's a head scratcher.
