I attempted to draw a dragon

in #drawing6 years ago

It's that time again where I randomly decide I want to try my hand at drawing again, find a random pic that looks good but is way too difficult for me but I don't give it a second thought and try really hard for the first 30 minutes until I realize I don't have the patience for this nor the skills and sorta try to finish it up as fast as possible after with crappy shadows and the same pencil while trying to make it look like I tried at least when deep down I know I suck and shouldn't hold a pen in combination with drawing. I also suck at drawing anything from my own head, it's either too cloudy up there or I just lack the imagination or the details to put them down into paper so I have to copy from some other artists, even though I'd like to tell you I tried to glance at it as little as possible reality is I looked at it more times in an hour than I have looked at the weight scale my whole life.

Anyway here's that one dragon from Skyrim even though I never played it past the first town cause I accidentally hit an NPC and they all ganged up on me and I hadn't saved it previously so I just uninstalled. He's called Alduin or something, couldn't find the real artist but his name is visible there if you wanna go through the extra length of figuring that out.

Nice it looks really good! You should draw more I think you'd get really good pretty fast.

Thanks yeah I just need to try and make more time for it.

Nice drawing :D And your handwriting <3
No, you don't suck. You have a talent in drawing but you just lack confidence. Artists started from drawing sticks. A little more practice and you'll be able to draw like that reference in there.

teach me master

So happy to see you posting with creativecoin!
I love this drawing....I hope to see more from you!
I can't draw a damn thing except for a stick figure lol

I was lucky cause I started when I was young and seems some "skill" has stuck since then although most of my patience is gone.

Good work actually! If you dont draw for a while you might forget a bit, but once you start again you remember all steps and get used to it. A lovely black dragon that should join SteemMonsters for a fight :D

Alduin from Skyrim? Yeah, that's a good drawing. More dragons!

Wow! Your dragon looks somewhat menacing :-)
it seems that he will open his mouth and fly out the flames of fire!

I also tried to draw a dragon once.

Here's what came out of it :-)

LOL

Accidentally hit an NPC and got rekt by villagers and bailed out XD You are the funniest person, I can tell you... HAHAHAHAHAH

... kewl dragon~

For drawing tips: nothing of mine comes out looking great in the first hour. I have to agonize over 3 hours before they sort of look like they come to their forms.

I need to learn patience

Yours looks a little bit ill, but more than a thousand time better if I try to draw it. I think, a little more practice will bring your drawings to more expert level. Brain keeps the track of all the moves and we'll be guided while we remain somewhat unaware of all this help, because for us it is unconscious.

I'd love to see your next attempt.

Yours looks a little bit ill

It's cause my dragon invested in Steem : p

Hahaha... True, this could be the cause.

Decent effort and I am glad that you are drawing again - #beentoolong
and lol at the last tag

:p

i only drew this cause i heard you a ccc whale

You wait til CCC is worth more than bitcoin!

any day now!

Looks better than the stick people I draw.

The drawing skill is there but maybe you should work in your patience, Rome wasn't built in a day after all (unless you ask the Chinese to build it but the quality but probably suck...)
