GORY GIRL WATERCOLOUR PAINTING
Good morning! It's been a while!
Today I want to share this watercolour piece with you. It's been the first watercolour piece in a while, since I've been getting sucked into digital art lately.
It's really nice and sunny outside today so I decided to sit outside with pepper and write this post.
Silly cat is getting all dirty by rolling on the ground.
This was the first original idea for this drawing. It was a sort of bunny monster girl.
But I didn't like the idea so I just used the pose.
I decided to try something that I hadn't done in a while for this piece. Which is using my blue lead pencil and inking.
I used the blue lead to get cleaner lines for when I go to ink.
Then I started inking. I used my dip pen with a small nib and my Liquitex acrylic ink in carbon black.
After inking I started painting using the reeves watercolours in ivory black, medium yellow and brilliant red.
I wanted this piece to have a base of grey and black and have bright red as the colour that pops out. I had to use the yellow to make the red a little less pink.
I started shading the skin and clothing using grey.
Then I added red accents to her clothing and also blood.
I drew this swirly pattern in the back because it seemed a little empty.
And finally I painted the background red and I'm done!
I hope you like it!
All work belongs to me.
WoW! its amazing great work....
Thank you so much!
Intestine pulling my favourite!
Haha, always a fun activity isn't it?
Just a part of our culture, those Druids and their shenanigans.
Geez, you have a weird taste but can't say I don't like your idea. Fantastic job! :)
Hehe yeah this was one of my stranger ideas. Thanks!
Aahh. This is so good. I love the artwork.
Nice job. ^_^
Thank you so much! I'm so glad you like it :)
