I'm not a comic strip artist but I play one on steemit. It's a fun challenge to try to create one hundred of them, especially with my limited drawing talents. I hope some of them make you laugh or smile, or think about smiling. Thanks for stopping by.
Yes, I'm commenting on my own post. I don't expect more than two people to take the time to read this. It's more about me working out my thoughts about my efforts. I think I'm getting a little bit better at drawing simple pictures. I don't expect it to be great, but I am trying to convey personality and emotion in the drawings. I think I did pretty good with that on this one, at least above average of my other attempts. I'm still working on defining the character's personalities based on what they have to say. I'm also hoping to get better at their dialogue having more pop, more set-up and punchline oriented. I'm not used to writing that way. I'm used to finding humor in the context- don't get me wrong, I want that here too, but in my 13 attempts it seems this art form asks to be more straight forward. I should go back and read some Peanuts, Bloom County, and the Far Side. Then again, I'd rather put my creative time into pure writing than studying comic strips... unless this starts to pay off... A big "if".
Hello my very thoughtful friend. It appears you are diving into the cycle of what if's and maybes. There are many artist out there working out their thoughts. thought maybe you could join MSP/pal and talk about it with a few more people. What do you think?

You even exceeded my expectations by going so far as to actually leave a comment and invite me into a group 😳😃. I downloaded the discord. Although I do look forward to meeting people on there, I'm about to start traveling g around the world on Tuesday so I don't know if I'll be putting anytime into figuring it out for awhile. I'll be traveling around the world, starting in southeast Asia. I hope to travel forever. If not forever, then 10 months to a year. That's why I called myself travelman when I got on here 75 days ago. I plan to post stories and pics of my adventures. Everything I've posted so far has merely been to try to get a little head start here on steemit. I've never participated in live chat message board stuff. When I went on the PAL today I wasn't much into the seemingly random stream of comments under hashtags. Are there set times when particular subjects are discussed?
I can't believe I missed your grand entrance to the community! Those hashtags are channel topics. People in there discuss the topics listed. The general chat room is where all the random conversations occur, and the MSP waves channel is when we are listening to the radio host/DJ and chatting. There we can ask questions, answer them etc etc. It is a great community. Next time you are there go to #general and type @kubbyelizabeth <3 and I will help guide you along.

I have not been to Brazil. I do plan to go to South America in the summer. Are you from there?
YEs, i have family in Brazil. You would love it there and they would love you. They highly favor english speakes.
