The Drake Equation

in #drawing7 years ago (edited)

This is a painting I made when I was first starting to take my watercolor game seriously. I remember hating the assignments in watercolor class. I wasn't enjoying the medium at all. Then one day I said screw it and started doing my own thing. A couple weeks later I was in love with water color.

All I remember about painting this was the feeling of not wanting to be where I was. It's at times like this that I feel like I do my best work. It's kind of a "the only way is down" Moment. A moment where the only place you have left to go is inward. If the geometric shapes look familiar, it's because this painting serves as a prequel to my later "Space Man" series. You can find those paintings and drawings on my page if you are interested. Let me know what you guys think. What do you take away from this painting?

Any feedback is greatly appreciated :)

Very nice, I agree creating is a great escape. I want learn how to double jump to each block to see what's on the next block until I see all whats on each floating block star.

I really like the style, amazing art

I seriously love your stuff man. I relate to hating water colors. I really wanna try my hand at painting again soon.

It's worth it once you work all the kinks out
