Hello my friend steemians, here is my entry for the drawing challenge held by @Helene

Theme: A person on a chair.

"My artwork title:Chase your wildest dreams."

I am really happy with the way it has come out! As a freelance illustrator, most of my wildest imaginations comes when I am sitting on my chair in front of my PC, so thanks a lot @Helene for this art prompt! I loved working on this so much!

The Process:

• This was really challenging for me, to draw space nebula from scratch was really challenging, it took me hours but I figured it out, I will show you how it is done.

• As always, I start with random scribbling. Whenever I look up the starry sky, I remember one of mine, and probably everyone's childhood dream have been Space exploration. So I had the idea of making this chair as a spacecraft hehe, I really started thinking as a child, so I used cardboard box as space helmet ! You have go let your imagination do the work ! It will bring ideas to you.

• After cleaning up the lines, I placed her in corner, because she is following some space turtles! You have to place your elements in such a way that the image itself tells you a story.

• Then I start adding colors, not too bright, nor too dull, too much bright colors can actually be irritating (unless it is a psychedelic type art)too much dull colours can be gloomy.

• After that, I add the turtles, floating across the space, first draw turtles and color them, after that start painting brighter colors over them, very lightly, alternatively you can do this by making a new layer over the turtles and setting the layer mode to "linear dodge or add", these modes allow us to give glow effect!

• Finally, the galaxy background, this is a bit tricky, first you need to decide how your galaxy will look, will it be warm ? Or will it be cooler ? Once you have decided that, you can set up your color pallete, of you don't know what colors to choose, you can always choose some references, here is the step by step process, merged up into a gif image to give you a better understanding.

• As you can see, the first step is to make black background, then some stars, these stars took me a while, but you can easily do it with a custom brush.

• Some tips: let your imagination bring you ideas, and if you think it cannot be done in one day, then give it a break and do something else, and when you come back, you may even have better ideas! It took me 3 days to get a proper sketch idea.
