Prophet Daniel & the dreams: There is a God in heaven who reveals secrets, and he has shown King Nebuchadnezzar what will happen in the future. Daniel 2:28

The authorship of the Book of Daniel in the Bible is uncertain, and its central character is a wise man and prophet named Daniel. The first part of the book recounts the life of this character up to chapter 7, and then, in the remaining chapters until its end, the book describes an apocalypse with fantastic visions attributed to this unusual prophet.
Like Joseph, one of Jacob's sons in the Book of Genesis, Daniel was described in his book as a great interpreter of dreams; Daniel was a person guided, enlightened, and inspired by God. The story of Daniel begins by recounting how the Kingdom of Judah and its king Jehoiachin fell to Nebuchadnezzar, and so this tyrant ordered the Chief of the Eunuchs to select from among the captured Israelites a group of young men to serve him in the royal palace. And so Daniel and a group of three friends arrived at the royal palace. With these words, the Bible describes Daniel and his three companions in the court of King Nebuchadnezzar: "God gave these four young men an unusual aptitude for understanding every aspect of literature and wisdom" Daniel 1:17.
And the story continues and relates that Nebuchadnezzar had a dream that greatly distressed him, and that the most important wise men and astrologers of his kingdom could neither guess, interpret, nor understand.
But the Bible says that Daniel prayed and received in a night vision the mystery of Nebuchadnezzar's dream, and with these words he answered Nebuchadnezzar before explaining the dream that had affected him so much: "There is a God in heaven who reveals secrets, and he has shown King Nebuchadnezzar what will happen in the future" Daniel 2:28.
The book relates that Daniel, because of his interpretation, received all kinds of gifts and presents, and received authority over the province of Babylon and the court of the wise men. Daniel's story is a reminder that there are no fixed rules for dream interpretation, nor are there books that explain what dream images mean; the art of interpreting dreams is a gift, and the origin of this ability lies in intuition and inspiration, which are gifts from above.
