So many people are in the same situation. Especially in the US, where students take an overinflated loan sponsored by our government.
I’m a shy person as well and sometimes if I want to do something, but my conciseness doesn’t allow me, I use this so called “21 seconds rule”. I use this short time to do something I normally wouldn’t. It does work. I think it’s very hard to plan (not impossible as you mentioned) any questions for your dream about this girl, if it comes back. If you dream and at the same time are conscious about remembering what to ask for, it’s not a dream anymore. Does it make sense? I think, I’m a bit behind in this kind of “preparation for a dream”. But as you said “practice”. I do feel with this guy, because I had similar dream in my past. If it’s meant to be, they will find each other eventually.
