Very interesting! The bass kind of reminds me of a 909, it is more rich and less punchy than the 808. I will definitely have to check out the other songs on Spotify when they come out tomorrow.

Interesting take, as I think you're just referring to the plain ol' kick drum. haha!
the actual "bass" is just the bass guitar, which totally doesn't resemble an 808/909 at all. thus, I'm assuming you just mean the kick drum, which I'm pretty sure is actually an organic sample, although I seriously phattened & dirtied the loop up... 😎
Yeah, I was talking about the percussion mostly. I had a friend a long time ago that had a Roland 303. He got me into some of the electronic music stuff. I had a program called Rebirth for a while that had a bunch of synths emulated. It was pretty awesome. I spent a ton of time playing around with that program when I had it.
