Notes

Life don't always go the way ya want it to. But it always goes the way it ought to. This took me waaaay too long to record because I'm still gettin my chops back up (especially the bass part, I get too nit-picky!) but I had fun making it. Created in Garageband with my Yamaha Montage & beatbox recorded with my Blue Snowflake mic. I promise I'll be getting back to my regularly scheduled poetry posts, but I'm enjoying this music kick. Gotta bring it all full circle! Check out the tune at the @dsound links below:

Now that's where you've been. I wondered about you. You were recording. Cool. Great groove. I respect that you were working on your project. The blog here is not our life but another way to enjoy and share our lives with others. I will play this for my two boys at home. They are fighting now. Maybe your voice can at least distract them.

So it worked. The kids calmed down for 2 minutes and stopped fighting. Very relaxing and clean recording. From 1:50 to the end you remind me of a steem engine. My five year started making drum noises with his mouth. Great work. I enjoyed listening.

Haha! That's cool that it calmed them down for a bit. Yeah, that's a great point. I used to stay on Steemit 8+ hours a day commenting and posting when I first joined. But, there are others things to do in life as well! I do like to keep up with people I've befriended the best that I can though.

Maybe your five year old will get into beatboxing! Most of the people that win the world beatboxing championships start practicing when they are really young. Their skill level is unbelievable. I'm just a novice but I find it really fun. Thanks for stopping by and checking my song out @mineopoly.

Thank you for being a friend in many ways. I learn and grow just hanging around.

That has a really nice groove to it! Great chord choice/voicing, adds some real smoothness to the whole thing.

I love the beatboxing, but I'd love to hear it with a simple Kick/Snare pattern subtley underneath just giving it a little extra "oomf", if you know what I mean?

Really great track though! Nice one!

Totally agree with you @fireandspice, I felt it was lacking that listening back. I was faced with a dilemna, postpone releasing it since it was already 5 am or go ahead lol. Since I'm just making these as demos I decided to put it up. I think I'll do that in the future though. I also invited one of my friends who's an actual proper beatmaker (I'm mainly just a composer/arranger haha) to maybe put a beat and/or vocals on it.

Appreciate the feedback man, onwards and upwards! Glad you dug the tune!

Keep it up, dude.

I'll give you a shout when I've got some of my own stuff up, maybe we could collab at some point. I'm out on a show this weekend, but I want to get some of my own material up and shared this week, if i get the chance.

Word man that sounds great. Welcome to Steemit, saw you recently joined! You should connect with my good friend @rusty-jernigan too, he's been steady making beats on @dsound for a couple months now. Definitely looking forward to getting back into music. I got really burnt out on it because it's what I studied in undergrad and I played in a pro touring band for a while. I focused on poetry for the past six months. Now I'm looking to synergize that back with beatboxing, rapping, arranging, composing, etc. Gonna be a fun 2018!

I can totally relate to that, man. I studied music production at degree level. 3 years of intense music creation was great, but it completely drained me. Getting back on it now, and I feel like the break has done me a world of good! I'm refreshed and the ideas are flowing better than they ever did before.

Hey, man! Just thought I'd follow up on this quickly while I have some time on my computer. I've recently started moving my catalogue from SoundCloud to dsound over the last couple of days. Check out my blog, there's a couple of tracks on there. More to come later this week. Cheers in advance!

Hey wasup @fireandspice ! I’m @proprlee, a hip hop steemian looking to expand my Audience and make some real connections. If your into hip hop check out some of my post/tracks. Also if you any advice on how to make the most of the Steem Blockchain I would really appreciate it. Good looks. 🤟🏾✌🏾

Hey, @proprlee! How are you doing, man? I've followed your blog. Look forward to seeing more on your page! I'm pretty new to this whole thing too, so wouldn't want to claim to be any sort of expert. But the biggest thing I've found that's helped me gain my small number of followers is just to talk to people. Share your knowledge and take theirs on board. Comment on people's posts and make sure every comment you make is genuine and has some insight into what they're talking about in their post. Starting interesting conversations and taking what people have to say on board is really valuable and is a huge part of what I've come to love about being part of this community so far. Welcome to SteemIt and best of luck, dude!

I like this very conception of world perception - like can go not how we WANT it to go but it always goes like it SHOULD to go.

Even if it's a misluck (like we can think), it can be luck! because we dont know what final result will be if the events came like we wanted.
The world often promts us and saves us.

Only soul knows the right doors for entering, but a human is too blind to see them physically, so we must just listen to our soul whisper...

Very well put @taliakerch. It has been said that even if we know what we want, we don't know what we need. But life brings it to us, especially when we are open to it.

I think it DePENDs) we know what we need or not)
if a person is spiritually developed and he lives in union with his soul, not brains, than he knows for sure both what he needs and how to get it.

@d-pend the funk is back and I love it! The funk is forever. Fun Bass + crunchy smooth chords. Love that sound at 1:50

The funk is forever = tha real truth
Glad you dug it man! I'm having fun getting back to my keyboard finally after a long hiatus.
You been making much music lately? You should post some stuff to @dsound!

Eyeyey your poetry is awesome but I have to say your music rocks! Or.. Funks?.. Hehe I have "Excuse me for asking" in my head all day xP

Woah! That's really cool @fabiyamada! Glad that was catchy enough to get stuck in your cabeza!

By the way, congrats on hitting 60 reputation X-D

Thanks!!! A cool milestone!:D i meed to make a celebration post n.n
And that songs is still in my cabeza xD

Wow my, I love the soft slow tap, my goodness is that beat boxing in the sound? The production is hot,it's like those amazing best from way back, but this one is sweeter.
I love it to crazy.
Good work brother

"I love it to crazy" @josediccus. Yes. It is retro jazz hip hop beat box from the past come back to life.

Exactly @mineopoly, back when music had that funky soul that just feels right. I want that magic to come back and stay forever...

Thank you. I am with you.

Yes my friend that's my main mojo - my beatbox, lol... Thanks. It's pretty retro. I grew up listening to Herbie Hancock's jazz-funk albums from the 70s. Music was... better back then, ha.

Lol I was stuck with just reggae and blues while growing up, however I had a music teacher lol, lol your beatboxing is cool I swear 😀😀😀😀😀

Ohhh! Well reggae and blues... that's a solid foundation @josediccus, between the two I'm sure you tapped into some real feeling...

This is cool, it could definitely be used behind some thoughtful vocals. Awesome!

Good idea @physics.benjamin! Thanks for checking it out.

Good morning - music for the exellent day, thank you @d-pend

Good evening now - still the clock rotates - its insanity, my daily bread - hello my gracious friend @dobartim

Excellent. A nice groove to fill the background while I work on translating some haiku.

I love it! Great combo of your piano and beat box skills!

Thanks! Glad you liked it. I'm having fun getting back into my musical side :-)
