Oh yeah, there's no limits to creative interpretation there, I actually can tell only small differences between the submissions in either #smlchallenge or #beatbattle ... Sure beatbattle is more beat oriented, but most artists cannot escape 'doing their own thing' so their personal style seeps in to both categories ...
So much a balance of all kinds of things, the kind of luck that comes from hard work, and as much doing the right things as much as not doing the wrong things. ...and no one but you can come up with the right formula for you ...
