Oh I know the excitement to move in a dream apartment! Our previous one was close to what counts as a dream interior, except for the lack of balcony.
Great that you're getting it all for a fair price, so that's a wonderful bargain! You're renting, right?

In Latvia, recently it's been more popular to rent a flat than own it, we have contracts usually for a year's duration, and the conditions may vary depending on the leaser. From what I've heard and my own personal opinion, it's much more preferred to own a flat or a home, but it's hell of a work, energy and, of course, money. One has to take a loan to achieve it usually.
We're lucky because Reinis' family owns a riverside home 1 h away from the city, which we will inhabit as soon as possible. We have a lot of work ahead of us to make it a home, but I really look forward to investing in​ the renovation of our own place.
