The next BitShares release will include a very nice feature: auto select the best node.
This feature is live on the reference wallet already - https://bitshares.org/wallet and will roll out to light wallet and hopefully every other webwallet starting from 1st September.
How to:
- Click the Cog
- Click Access
- Find "Choose Closest Automatically" and click Activate

That feature has been there for months, it's just the presentation that's changing in the next release.
not in the latest light wallet or openledger - at least not visible and in a selection
