Dear Diary: This Person Was Caught Shoplifting For Food But Given Assistance Of Food Instead
This person (sitting) was caught shoplifting food from a convenience store because she said that she was so hungry.
But the village captain shown here didn't put her to jail but instead he had given her a few kilos of rice plus some canned sardines and told her that she will be escorted back to her house.
This village captain is also telling her that she can go and seek help from her village council if she needs because it is one of the purposes of having a council in villages and also giving warning to her not to shoplift anymore because she will land in jail but instead to work in order to earn money
Some will say that this is just a stunt from this village captain to glorify himself, but true or not it just gives a good message to people that instead of prosecuting those that committed a petty crimes especially people who took food without telling must be given help and assistance instead of putting them to jail.

True Sir but sometimes we have to help needy people in kindness.
I believe the village captain really took a great action. I did not see any reason arresting her because it is sure that she was hungry. So why not help her out and this may even help her to change next time after this kindness. Kudos to the village captain
If everybody would help poor people, nobody will ever steal anything from anywhere :(
Yes it would be better if things are like that in our society.
We can only hope for that day to come :(
