No Longer Hosting Contests & Challenges / Went To The ReStore For A Vacuum - D00k13 Digest #387
What up my Steemians, welcome to the @D00k13 Digest, waking up today I have decided to stop trying to host contests and challenges so that I may better support those already running on Steem. Out For my morning walk I tried to take a couple pictures of Jerry which ended up being complicated as usual. Heading to the ReStore to pick up a used vacuum as ours kicked the bucket, I found one for $40 then headed to work. Work was alright, found myself just hanging around waiting for things to do. During that hanging around started to wonder, "why do I keep pushing myself to create content?" to which I run the thought out for you on camera while driving home.
Keeping things simple as I have stated many times before, this is the first of my random clip vlogs taking what I capture on the go and attempt to make something out of it.

Thanks @derekrichardson I am no actor and don't even try I am glad that you appreciate my from the heart talks. It has taken a while to get comfortable on camera but now I feel almost more in tune with my thoughts when I hit record.

I get why you are doing this, good move. I had to give up making consistent content. Great things in the future.
Not quite giving up the consistent content creation just trying to re-focus so that it’s sustainable on a daily basis but I am backing down from trying to create a show type of content on a daily basis, I just need to stop pressuring myself.

Same here...I stopped hosting my learn & earn 2 weeks ago as it wasn't sustainable at all..no continuous sponsors and people were just showing up for a quick steem grab. Anyway, there are still lot of nice contests around :)
I figure if a few of us band together and start supporting contest instead of trying to run our own a few of them very well may turn into some grand successes! Case in point @dcontest

Wish I had a restore near me, gotta buy everything new at building supply houses around where I live. Only pond shops would have used stuff.
Yeah it is definitely a handy place to go when you’re in need of something cheap. As for the pawnshops try find one that focuses on consignment because they have a higher standard of quality! I have found quite a few good things in pawnshops but often the quality doesn’t meet the price 😅

I saw a proud pose by jerry in the beginning in the fields under the sun, gosh what a life our furries have. Your thoughfull video vlog got me thinking i am pressing myself for content, well pressing i am the girl with ideas but with no social platform experience, so for the last 16 months i made a promise to myself to make my own library of life on the block .... chain.
Its a diary, what i did during my présence on this earth together with my lovelies. I tried contests , i enter them too so i thought it was nesseccary to orginaize them too. not a huge succe but nofaileither.
But i did decide to take over the #learnandearn contest, its matkodurko s ( fellow phc ) one but he wanted to stop, after 20 weeks, same reason as you discribed. Not to much engaging , I am a contest orginising virgin but i try to go move on whatever the amount of entries.
We Will see where it takes me, so if you see a vlog telling you the same as you told me for the last 6 minutes , you were right untill than, try to learn something every day, its RICH
