Climate Change becomes Climate Crisis /w Clean Planet Bag #59 on 22.05.2019

The Guardian has now pinned down a change in language which you recently might have noticed in other medias, too. Instead of “climate change” the terms “climate emergency or crisis” are used and “global heating” is preferred over “global warming”. This change emphasizes the actual meaning and adds in a long needed judgement. I really appreciate this change - in german "Klimawandel" becomes "Klimakrise" which also sounds great due to its alliteration.

And btw: plastic waste which is exposed to sunlight (UV radiation) emits methane, a potent greenhouse gas.
