A Valentines Hug: Is this A Happy Day or Sad Day for you?

Happy Valentines Day Steemians,
Valentine's Day is supposed to be a day of love but for many people it's a day sadness and loneliness. In fact, I read and article that said "A survey of thousands of single ladies across the globe by date.com found out there is a lot of self-love out there.
When asked if they had ever invented a Valentine an incredible 75% said yes, with many admitting sending flowers, signing made-up cards and buying chocolates. When asked why, 65% of the women said they wanted to feel special, 15% claimed it was so the men in their office would notice them and 5% so they did not feel lonely and depressed."
Are you one of the thousands of people who are lonely today or are you one of the ones who is expressing self-love by sending yourself flowers and buying yourself candy. It's ok, just wait until tomorrow and do all that so you can get it all half price.
Did you know that 19.6 Billion dollars is going to be spent for valentines. If someone is going to love you they love you because of who you are and not because of the flowers, candy and teddy bears they get you once a year.

I can't really tell if it's a happy day or a sad day for me. I do know it will be the 14th year that I have been single on Valentines day so I guess that in itself is quite sad but I honestly don't really mind, my excuse is I'm always too busy to settle down and have a partner. I'm too busy taking over the world one step at a time lol.
Well valentines should be just like every other day in the year. I don't think we should have commercial holidays just to generate sales. Being single has its perks!
Forget flowers, greeting cards, balloons and chocolates.... we should invest that 19.6 billion into crypto instead;0) Thank you for sharing!

Valentines day is too comercial. True is, you can treat with love your partner, all the time, and make her/him, happy every day (at least trying :p). You dont need special events for that.
I agree, I don't care about the flowers, cards, chocolates and teddy bears. Those things just take up space in the house and get thrown away or stored in a box in the attic. lol
