Oh boy. This is not the government spying on you, it's not an "orwellian nightmare". This is companies trying to send make money with your data buy better marketing towards your interests. This is what Google, Amazon, Facebook, Microsoft, Apple et cetera are doing. They've been doing this for years.
If you don't like it you have to be consequent and stop using Android, Apple products, Windows, Google, Amazon, Facebook and so on. You're free to use Linux on your PC, a phone which is supported by Replicant OS, a search engine that respecty your privacy, never use any social media platform (including Steemit and DTube) and never shop online.
