The easiest way is by earning EP, we had to change the way how to earn STEEM because of the Mojang EULA. You can earn EP by voting, doing stuff at /spawn or winning events. At /mg, you can win EP, which starts if there are at least 2 players there. It starts every full hour and also announces itself in the chat, sometimes, people have to ask others to join. ^^

Because of the change, there is no direct exchange option anymore. Earlier, it has been possible to exchange the ingame money, which could be earned through farming into STEEM, but that's no longer the case, since it is disallowed to do this.

But here is how it works now:

1. Earn EP (there are daily challenges coming to the survival in the upcoming weeks, where you can earn EP (event points) by solving challenges like "bring 64 cobblestone and get 0.05 EP, 1 gold ingot and 1 Taler" or something like that.)
2. Exchange EP to Skyroad Token (upcoming feature)
3. Exchange Skyroad Token to STEEM Power (upcoming feature)

(The whole Skyroad Token thing is very new. Currently, people are really intersted in playing SkyBlock and want it completed very fast. Until SkyBlock is done, which shouldn't take much longer anymore, there will be more fokus on getting the Skyroad Token exchanges done and adding more ways on how to get them.)

Skyroad Token can also be used to buy decorative stuff on the server in the future. You could also trade with the Skyroad Tokens, there might be people who give you more money for these Skyroad Tokens than the server itself. People can also buy these Skyroad Tokens with cash like Euro or USD to get in-game decorations. I hope that this is going to be a working system where people can earn money, while others also can spend some for fun.

This exchange is unfortunately not ready. The change happened a month ago and I think it may take some weeks until it is ready. But you already can farm EP, Taler and Skyroad Token by playing, farming. =)

A youtuber, who is doing letsplays on our server wanted to create some videos on how to get money and earn that kind of stuff. But it is still in the making. If you want, you can watch it here, he also got some fancy live steem statistics. =D

Another way is to win contests. I try to do them at weekends. Currently, most contests are happening at the /skyblock, because it is new and currently in development. =)
