Khumu Farm in Laos
One of my best friends, Khai, invited me to visit his family and farm an hour south of Luang Prabang. I can speak Thai and Lao, but everyone spoke Khumu language, but they can understand Thai because the TV and best songs are in Thai.

Everyone was very friendly and the temperature was much cooler than back down in town.

If the world comes to an end, these people will survive just fine because the jungle has a lot of fruit and animals to eat.
The waterfall here had few people and was really refreshing.
Thanks for checking out my buddy’s hometown.

Man that is a kick ass waterfall. I do love a good waterfall.
The few times i have been to the countryside with Thai friends I normally find they are considerably more receptive to "farangs" than in the usually quite expat-filled areas that we tend to live in. Probably because they don't see us very often out there. When i lived in this small community in the south everyone knew me, because i was the only foreigner around for miles and miles.
Nice video editing and a perfect length as well. All around, great post buddy!
Thanks man. I’ve been following you for a long time. @teachinthai was my first Steem account, but It never really worked. I’m sure if you visit Laos, your posts will be great.

In Vietnam, I visited some waterfalls in Dalat that were similar to this. I love the fresh air. I love farms. One of my adult students might have said something about the borders being different years ago, meaning that there may be some places in Laos that were once part of Vietnam. Geographically, similar climates of course. I wonder, how many Vietnamese do you run into in Laos?
