Ride With Me #3 : Beautiful Calico Basin Mountains Outside Las Vegas Nevada

in #dtube8 years ago (edited)

Take a Motorcycle ride with me just a few miles outside Las Vegas to the beautiful Calico Basin Mountains! Located west of Vegas, near Red Rock Canyon park, there is no entrance fee to Calico.

Vegas is more than just casinos! we have some of the most beautiful natural scenery in the world. We've got the Mojave desert and more mountains than you can imagine!

Most people don't even realize that Las Vegas is a Valley surrounded by Mountains. Before I moved out here, I didn't know myself!

Take the 159 West out of Vegas for a few miles then turn right onto the Calico Basin Road. The road itself isn't much of a road, it has lots of cool twists and turns when you first get on it, but straightens out later on.

The cool thing to see here are the neat red and orange mountains. It's hard to capture them with pictures and video, you really need to see them yourself!

I hope you enjoyed my brief motorcycle ride out to Calico Basin Mountains just outside of Las Vegas! Maybe I'll see you out there some day!

This looks like an apt I lived at when I attempted to live in Henderson, NV in 2010 ( had to move back to L.A. after 4 months, because I didn't find a job )

Henderson is on the other side of town from me...but all the apartments look the same out here ;-)

awesome post! I hope to get a bike soon so I can travel the world - dreaming about this for years and hope to happen soon :)

Buying a bike was one of the best decisions I ever made!

Will be one of mine too hehe :D

Miss Vegas I like these pictures. I'm planning a trip to carson city just to get out of town, in the beginning of next year, and this is putting me in the mood for a roadtrip.

You should definitely take a road trip!
