30-Year T-Bond Yield Inverts Versus 1-Month T-Bill Yield.

In this report, I cover the early market action from London on Friday, August 16th, 2019. I Look briefly at the precious metals, the stock market, the dollar, the bond market and the price of WTI and Brent crude oil.

Today I look at how the U.S. Treasury yield curve has now inverted from the shortest maturity and the longest maturity investors look at. The 30-Year T-Bond yield dropped below 2% for the first time while the 1-month T-Bill yield was at 2%. An inverted yield curve and continuing rush to treasury securities is a symptom that the economy is coming to a screeching halt.

I also look at some long term charts of gold and show which technical levels are important in my opinion. With the recent breakout in the gold price, I also talk about how I purchase gold and silver bullion.
