Let's Talk Monsters Episode 5: Silent Speed versus BluElite Magic
Today's battle features @marabara versus @fenrir78 in a 22-mana Silenced Summoners format. At the time these players were both hanging out in the top three ranked spots of Season 4, so these are two of the most skilled and experienced fighters. @marabara plays an interesting turbo-charged team, while @fenrir78 casts a blue magic powerhouse.
Finally, if you didn't see, @therealwolf is organizing a Christmas tournament, so hop in that competition if you please.
As always, leave us feedback in the comment section! Brought to you by @dhimmel and @trang.

Hi @Monstertalk
We at @Onebitnews are glad we stumbled over your post.
As a “newbie” at the game, we are looking forward to pick up some tips and tricks from your revive of different battles.
One question for you guys:
Is it a good ide to build up one splinter to be a kind of main deck or is it better to spread out thin on all splinter trees?
Looking forward to your answered
What to level up is a difficult question as it depends on many factors, such as your long-term ambitions and ability to deploy capital.
I'm assuming you're considering buying cards on the market, to combine and level up. In general I think this is a better strategy than buying booster packs, because you can get only what you need at exactly the right quantity. Check out the @peakmonsters market at https://monsters.steempeak.com/market, which has a more advanced interface. Also consider @steem-plus for bulk buy on the @steemmonsters dot com market.
That being said, I would suggest leveling up two splinters to start with. Since you have to choose a splinter to play with, it's better to have 2 maxed out than 5 mediocre. Other advice for leveling up is to first focus on neutral cards and summoners. Neutral cards because they can be played with any summoner. Summoners because without them, the level of your monsters is limited. Selenia Sky, a dragon summoner, is also a good choice, since for under $100 USD you can get a max-level summoner that can summon any monster (given the appropriate rule format).
Thank you for your reply. We have started to build up the death splinter where we have the summoner on lvl 6 and soon have most of the monsters at a matching lvl to the summoner.
The other splinters are at lvl 3 with similar monster range.
It was a good idea, as you mention, to build up the neutral cards. I was also thinking to lvl up Daria Dragonscale as the second summoner and in that way have a summoner that can play all the splinter trees.
Manage to reach champion 3 last season so going for C2 in this one.
Looking forward to seeing and read more posts from you in the future.
Keep up the good work.
I'm interested to see how gameplay with Daria Dragonscale evolves. My worry with the card is its mana cost of 4... quite steep. However, the boosted melee attack could be useful for some teams.
I will keep you up to date regarding Daria when she is in a higher lvl

Great rundown. I like the way you've really pulled it apart, and paused to make some predictions beforehand.
Thanks @mattclarke. We appreciate your viewership and any help you provide spreading the word about this series!
P.S. feel free to submit links to any battles that you'd like to see us cover.
