My very first sail adventure as a solo sailor. With my Dehler Delanta 76 ak
This video also shows you, I had trouble with my battery's and gearbox!

The battery was an easy fix and had not much to it.
The gearbox although, was a 2-day operation, very annoying as I planned to go sail.
First day I tried to understand to problem and even called the previous owner of the boat, but he either had a fast fix.
So, went on digging and disassembled almost everything from the gear lever, I thought that was the problem .
After allot of tinkering, I found out that the bolts, sitting in a wooden beam down in the bilge, which held a bracket in place, came loose.
After I had tightened that up, all was fine.
A whole lot of work for nothing, but now I learned allot more about my gearbox mechanism.
That’s the upside of this.

Later I went sailing, it was scary and fun as this was my very first-time, solo sailing.
It was perfect weather for it though, there was almost no wind, so risk of error was almost none existing.
I motored out of the harbor and motored for a couple of nautical miles, to test out the gearbox.
All was fine, ran it as hot as it gets, no problem what so ever.

It was allot of fun, just to motor already 😉
Later, I turned upwind and raised the mainsail. A little scared, but I had to do it, the best day, to practice the handling.
No wind, no traffic and no technical issues.
Turned off the engine and set up to go downwind, there was nearly no wind though, like said.
But still it was excited and loved every minute of it.

Then picked up the camera and started vlogging a bit more for you guy's.
