RE: BALS - Should Dtubers Be More Invested in Dtube?
I don't snoop through wallets of Dtubers but I hope many of you have been powering up earnings. If dtube's delegation ever goes away (that's a generous gift many of you get) or if the place explodes with new members and content, you folks now will need to be the ones taking on the role of curator. You'll be on your own.
Remember awhile back we talked and I said hey, see how my earnings are slumping? Us Steemit types don't have a Steemit vote coming our way. We had to build up our accounts on our own. Now look at how many complain about rewards on Steemit after so many cashed out their earnings instead of powering up. Look how many quit. People not powering up played a huge role in that.
Well I have powered up as much as I can, but I also keep a bit out in SBD so if the price jumps, I have some liquidity to pay myself back for all the time I have put into this site. I produce video content daily and it takes a lot of time. We are very lucky indeed to be blessed with a DTube upvote, and most people in the community have been curating each other for some time. There are quite a few curation groups that everyone gives to that were created in the Discord which help bolster Dtube content creators without the help of the Dtube delegated upvote.
I understand how this dip has affected most earnings, and how people running with their money might have contributed, but ultimately this slump is due to the dip in crypto in general, and likely won't get better for some time...but when it does, it's going to be GOOD! That's why I am powering up as much as I can!
I still have a group of people though that I curate at 100 percent, and I hope to keep that group around through all the different ups and downs!
You're playing your cards right by the sounds of it. I took some out long ago when the value was high, reinvested elsewhere. That'll be my fun money, this stuff can stay here. I've yet to spend a dime of any of it in over two years. I'm probably crazy for that but whatever, it's only money.
I know all about the time spent stuff. That digital art I work on doesn't produce itself.

I dropped 317 votes on 135 accounts in the past seven days. I put a lot of time into this curating stuff as well. Luckily, since the hardfork, if you play your cards right, you should be seeing more curation rewards rolling in. I more than doubled up in that department. I can't afford to give out 100% votes though. I usually cap it at 50% so I can get to more people.
I agree completely. I personally have never spent a single Steem or SBD I power up everything I get so I can upvote other contents and reward those who are contributing and helping make this community better. I'm here on Steemit and Dtube instead of Youtube primarily because of the support and the community here.
Try to find those like minded people. It pays off down the road. Everyone builds up and then from there everyone builds up faster. It's hard to stop once it gets rolling.
