Fun video as always. BTW I used to film outside a lot and got tired of losing content to wind noise. I broke down and got a dead cat wind cover for my mic and have been super happy with it. I loved the quiet banging of the pots lol.
Thanks. I've been a bit run and gun lately and haven't even been using my mic. When I purchased my gear last year I really didn't know how I was going to be using it and didn't really get the correct things for what I have been doing. My mic requires a phantom power box which adds weight and requires batteries. I use a lav mic more than my shotgun mic and the built in mic more than both. I guess the saying holds true that what gear you have on you is the best. Hopefully this year I will get a couple more upgrades. The wind was getting up to about 40 mph and kept kicking out the power. We ended up losing power 3 times but only for about a minute each time. We were really worried about bothering our new neighbors with the pots and pans (me more so than my wife ha.) I've been wanting to get a good mic cover but have been holding off for a more convenient mic like one of the rode video mics. Right now I have a Audio-Technica AT875R which sounds great but not good for run and gun shooting. Thanks for checking out the video and the great comment. Take care.
I love my Rode with the Rode dead cat what a difference. I actually did a side by side comparison. I will have to post it.
