Still better than my 3 cents at full bore, lol. Tschüss is a short way of saying goodbeye or "later". German won't be the easiest for you pronounce, and then there are 4 cases. Lucky for me most Germans in the area where I live speak plat Deutsch, much closer to Dutch. It was fun for me in Mn, I could often strike up a conversation with the Amish and understand about 70% of what they were saying without trying. Then I looked into Russian, it has 6 cases; no thanks! I speak enough languages already. I think for where you live, Spanish would be more practical, and it gives you inroads into Italian as a side benefit; I'm finding out as I hear Italian more often living in Europe.
